Migrating wordpress from development to a live domain?
Then you need to do few things to make sure all works great. After migrating all necessary files. You have to make sure the new domain is not used anywhere in your wordpress and is rewritten to a new domain. All you have to do is to open your MySQL table in some editor such as PHPmyadmin and then enter this SQL command:
UPDATE wp_posts SET post_content = replace(post_content, 'https://ruzickainternal.eu/DEV/', 'https://ruzickainternal.eu'); UPDATE wp_posts SET guid = replace(guid, 'https://ruzickainternal.eu/DEV', 'https://ruzickainternal.eu'); UPDATE wp_postmeta SET meta_value = replace(meta_value,'https://ruzickainternal.eu/DEV', 'https://ruzickainternal.eu'); UPDATE wp_options SET option_value = replace(option_value, 'https://ruzickainternal.eu/DEV', 'https://ruzickainternal.eu') WHERE option_name = 'home' OR option_name = 'siteurl';
After you have done that, go to new URL, login to wordpress and go to Settings -> Permalinks. Change the structure of links to anything, save and then put there back what you had there previously. What this does is that it REINDEX all links/files on your wordpress page and all should work okay. Also make sure that in Settings -> General you have correct domain.
